About Inhoek
Situated just outside the beautiful seaside village of Arniston lies a family-run farm called Inhoek.
Surrounded by crop fields, this tranquil and authentic Overberg getaway, offers all the peace and wide-open space necessary to just breathe and unwind.
With two dams to cool off in, ancient Milkwood trees to sit under, endless fynbos for long walks and a few quirky farm animals to entertain you, Inhoek is a unique and picturesque place for your next escape.
We have a range of contemporary and stylish accommodation options for you to choose from, with luxury touches and all the extras to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Accommodation
THE FARM HOUSE:
The farm house effortlessly accommodates up to 12 people with 3 en-suite bedrooms inside, as well as a large, separate family bedroom which sleeps 6 people.
The modern, open plan kitchen and sitting/dining area leads on to the lawn and swimming pool from the generous wrap-around patio/’stoep’ which has views on all sides. There are two braai areas situated on either side of the house to allow for wind free bar-b-ques/’braais’ at all times. Undoubtably our favourite feature is the pizza oven where many a shared fun family ‘cook-up’ has been had.
There are also two cottages situated nearby that can be rented out in conjunction with the farm house or separately. These cottages offer comfortable accommodation with ample living, cooking, “braai-ing” and relaxing space. Whether its stories and wine around the fire pit or even a shower under the stars – these cottages cater for the ultimate R & R experience. All the essentials are here – just bring your food, wine, a good book and don’t forget your walking shoes.
THE COTTAGES:
Madeleine and Mo.
Madeleine has 2 bedrooms en-suite. The one bathroom also has an outside shower for an added element of romance. Speaking of which, when winter comes – there’s also a small feature fireplace that’s ready to keep things toasty with wood provided for you on arrival and heated blankets for bedtime.
Mo is a cosy one bedroom cottage with an en-suite bathroom, sitting room with a tv and outside seated area.
THE BEACH HOUSE:
The Beach House is situated in the quaint village of Arniston itself. It is one of the first original homes built. This gracious old lady loves the warmth of big families. Both Roman beach and the Harbour beach are less than 5min from the house.
The house sleeps up to 13 people with 4 bedrooms inside and a cosy cottage outside. A large open plan lounge and a dining room, as well as a separate family room, 3 bathrooms (2 inside, 1 in outside cottage) and a large fully equipped kitchen. There is even a heated plunge pool to rinse off the sea. Seated braai area in the back with a spacious “stoep/patio” with a table tennis table and dart board in the front. There is a whimsical viewing deck above the outside cottage for those quiet private moments.
All the essentials are there, just bring the food, wine and beach towels.
All accommodation is self-catering. Children and well behaved pets are most welcome!
Weddings & Events
Inhoek is an idyllic destination for weddings, private functions, retreats, team breakaways and corporate events.
We have two function facilities on offer: ‘The Venue’ and ‘The Wine Barn’
The Venue is the larger of the two facilities available with large French doors opening onto the outside terrace and offers a 360 degree view of the surrounding farm. The Venue seats up to 150 people inside.
A Bedouin tent is erected to cover the outside terrace to allow for a dance floor or seating outside in times of inclement weather.
There is a fully equipped professional catering kitchen that top chefs would envy.
Our Wine Barn is perfect for smaller, more intimate functions with the old cattle trough serving as a charming long bar for food and beverages.
